I've written, produced and/or sang on thousands of songs for myself, other artists like MAX and Gnash, labels like Armada, Cloudkid and Soave, film/tv, etc. Experience in many genres like Pop, Dance, Indie, Electronic, Rock, R&B, Jazz and more.
Good music makes you feel something, so if it doesn't feel right, it's not right. I'm an experienced writer, singer, producer, and session musician. Sync placements on Netflix, Hulu, CBS, MTV, CW, Nickelodeon & WWE. Releases on Armada, Spinnin’, Th3rd Brain, Cloudkid, Soave, Future House Cloud, AVA.
I specialize in song writing and vocals but also offer the following add ons or services:
-Harmonies/Doubles
-Demo instrumental/beat (writing a song from scratch without a provided instrumental/beat)
-Arrangement/Production (creation of a release-ready instrumental/beat)
How it works:
Message me and let’s get your project finished! I’ll send you an mp3 for approval, do one revisions round for free if needed, then once you approve and release funds, I will send all tracks as 24bit 48K WAVs, dry, tuned & edited
-Turn around time is typically 3-7 days. Ask me about expedited pricing
-1 free revisions included in the price
-I ask for 50% of publishing for songs I write but can be flexible for different situations. No royalties needed when I record an already-written vocal. Full Buyout Pricing is available
You don't need to credit me in your release. Artist name 'ALVN' is available to anyone I work with. Artist name 'Zach Alwin' is available for features if the final mix is approved by management (+feature fee). Artist name 'Roet' is not available for features.
Send me a note through the contact button above.

Interview with Zach Alwin
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Clients often think that they can get better results by giving me less direction and more freedom but the opposite ends up being true. As much as I try not to, I tend to play it safer when I don't know what a client wants.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, Interface, Mic, Keyboard, Guitar .... anything else is just really just icing on the cake.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Whatever it needs.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: A new R&B solo project.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Do less but do it better.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: YES. They both have their place.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Having cool songs to be proud of at the end of the day.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Know what you want. If I'm confident in the direction I need to take a song, it allows me to focus more on making it kick ass.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: It’s all about workflow.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I like a lot of the classics & new talent as well. It’s important to have a map of where we’ve been to try to see where we’re going. Singers - Van Morrison, Ray Charles, Jeff Buckley, Khalid, Charlie Puth Writers - Fiona Apple, Bruno Mars, Ben Folds, Drake Producers - Porter Robinson, Max Martin, Jon Brion, Jeff Bhasker

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: It’s all about workflow... making it quick and easy to go from idea to record-ready execution. You can find my note-worthy gear in the studio highlights section.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to work fast. Get the idea out as quickly as possible and then fix whatever isn’t working after. Momentum is your friend.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Songwriting/topline work tends to be the most common but I also do a lot of vocal tracks and productions.
